Although under normal use this will not provide all the vehicles power it will make a significant contribution when you factor in the decreasing cost of solar panels and the rising cost of fossil fuel. The Fisker Karma can already be ordered from the Fisker website - the first ones are scheduled for delivery in 2009. The music theme is called ’sunshine’. The wattage of the average car roof panel is around 250 watts. If you covered the entire car in solar film or panels you would get around 1000 watts or more.

J’ai équipé la maison de mon père au Portugal en panneaux solaires pour la production d’électricité, de chauffage & d’eau chaude. Dans la sud du pays, il fait toujours beau. L’hiver, il fait entre 15 à 20°C ; l’été 25-35°C.
C’est très avantageux & économique. La Comission Européenne nous a subventionné pour l’achat & l’installation à 50% du prix !

Hi Juscurious! Thanks for commenting! The panels don’t run the car, they help with the charging of the car. I acknowledge they don’t usually completely charge the car however they increase efficiency. You’re right about the wattage but it’s not mean’t to completely charge it. It just assists with charging. Stupid video or not it’s a 5 star rated stupid video.
It also depends how much you use the car. If you use it for a few miles once a week, then it will run the car.

This has to be the stupidest video I’ve ever seen on YouTube and that is saying a lot. For those of you knuckle draggers out there why don’t you take a Physics Course. Solar will NEVER be more that a few % of our total energy package. There isn’t enough surface area on a car for more than a few hundred watts of power and this is not enough to run a car. You see 1hp= 746Watts. Do the math. This is a STUPID Video. Study Physics and Engineering and you will not make stupid videos.
